The kinship name is from the popular series of novels A Song of Ice and fire. House Lannister of Casterly Rock is the principal house of the Westerlands. Their principal seat is Casterly Rock. Their sigil is a golden lion on a field of crimson, and their words are "Hear Me Roar!" Their unofficial motto, just as well known, states, "A Lannister always pays his debts." For those of you familiar with the series, they are viewed as primarily antagonists. So why chose an antagonistic symbol for a kinship? I present to you three reasons. Firstly, the Lion traditionally symbolises bravery, valour, strength, and royalty, since traditionally, it is regarded as the king of beasts. We are to lead by example as the lion leads his pride. Secondly, I take the time to again emphasise the words of House Lannister. "Hear Me Roar!" We will be heard, loudly as we beat the most challenging content Lord of the Rings Online has to offer. Lastly, I want to address the fact that all our members are to be accountable for their actions. No debt will go unpaid. Kindness will be repaid with kindness.
